Step-by-Step Guide- How to Send Videos via Text Message on Your iPhone

How to Send a Video through Text Message on iPhone

Sending a video through text message on an iPhone is a straightforward process that allows you to easily share moments with friends and family. Whether you want to send a funny clip, a memorable event, or a heartfelt message, following these simple steps will help you do it in no time.

Step 1: Open the Messages App

To begin, locate the Messages app on your iPhone. It is typically represented by a speech bubble icon and can be found on your home screen. Tap on the app to open it.

Step 2: Select a Contact

Once the Messages app is open, you will see a list of your recent conversations. Scroll through the list and tap on the contact with whom you want to send the video. If you can’t find the contact, you can search for their name or phone number at the top of the screen.

Step 3: Compose a New Message

After selecting a contact, you will see a new message screen. At the bottom of the screen, you will find a text box where you can type your message. Instead of typing a message, tap on the camera icon to the left of the text box. This will open up the camera and allow you to take a photo or record a video.

Step 4: Record or Select a Video

With the camera open, you have two options: you can either record a new video or select an existing video from your camera roll. To record a new video, tap and hold the red record button and then release it when you’re done. To select an existing video, tap on the gallery icon at the bottom left corner of the screen and choose a video from your camera roll.

Step 5: Send the Video

Once you have selected or recorded a video, you will see it appear in the text box. To send the video, tap on the blue send button at the bottom right corner of the screen. The video will be sent as a message to the contact you selected, and they will receive it shortly.

Additional Tips

– To add a text message along with the video, you can type a message before sending the video. The text will appear below the video in the message thread.
– If you want to send the video as a multimedia message, make sure that the contact you are sending it to has an iPhone. If they have an Android or other non-iPhone device, the video will be sent as a link instead of a multimedia message.
– If you want to save the video to your camera roll before sending it, tap on the share button (the box with an arrow) and then select “Save Video.”

Sending a video through text message on an iPhone is a convenient way to share your experiences with others. By following these simple steps, you can easily send videos to your friends and family, keeping them connected and informed.
