How to Post Video on Instagram Story
In today’s digital age, Instagram has become a popular platform for sharing moments, stories, and videos with friends and followers. One of the most engaging features of Instagram is the Stories function, which allows users to share temporary content that disappears after 24 hours. If you’re looking to post a video on your Instagram Story, here’s a step-by-step guide to help you out.
Step 1: Open Instagram and Navigate to the Camera
To start, open the Instagram app on your smartphone. Once you’re logged in, tap the camera icon at the bottom center of the screen. This will take you to the camera interface, where you can capture new photos or videos.
Step 2: Switch to the Story Mode
In the camera interface, you’ll see a circular Stories icon at the top left corner. Tap on it to switch to the Stories mode. This will allow you to create and share temporary content with your followers.
Step 3: Record or Select a Video
Once you’re in the Stories mode, you have two options: record a new video or select an existing one from your camera roll. To record a new video, simply hold down the circular shutter button at the bottom of the screen. Release the button when you’re done recording. If you prefer to use an existing video, tap the library icon at the bottom left corner and select the video you want to post.

Once you’re satisfied with your video, tap the send arrow at the bottom right corner of the screen. Choose whether you want to send the video to your Story, direct message it to a specific person, or post it to your profile. If you’re posting it to your Story, you can also select which friends can see your Story by tapping the audience icon at the top right corner.
Step 8: Share Your Story
Your video will now appear on your Instagram Story. You can swipe up to reveal more Stories or swipe down to close the Story. Your followers will be able to view your video for 24 hours before it disappears.
